Modascale's purpose is to make consumer electronics decisions more understandable. Our coverage should help a reader connect a product's capabilities with a real need, recognize the trade-offs, and avoid spending on features that will not improve daily life.
Research and evidence
Our current buying guides use official product pages, manufacturer support documentation, and analysis of stated capabilities. We include source links so readers can examine the relevant information. Manufacturer information is useful for specifications and compatibility, but it is not independent proof that a product will suit every environment or meet every expectation.
We distinguish researched guidance from firsthand evaluation. A product name in a guide does not imply that we bought, borrowed, or tested it. We do not invent measurements, anecdotes, star ratings, or quotations. If we publish hands-on coverage in the future, it should explain the actual scope and limitations of the evaluation.
Choosing product examples
We select examples to clarify a purchase decision, such as a compact charger versus a larger multi-device setup or a simple reader versus a more versatile tablet. An article need not list every competing product to explain that decision. Inclusion is not an assurance of the lowest price, universal compatibility, or superiority in every category.
A useful guide explains who a product is for, who should consider another approach, and which details need checking before checkout. We also consider setup, maintenance, subscriptions, accessories, privacy settings, and the possibility that no upgrade is necessary.
Accuracy, dates, and changing products
Electronics change through new models, software updates, regional variations, and discontinued services. Publication and update dates provide context; they do not mean every linked page has been continuously monitored. Readers should confirm the exact model, current specifications, and local purchasing terms with the relevant provider.
We avoid unsupported claims of current pricing, stock, discounts, or performance. Where a detail cannot be established confidently, the article should narrow the claim or direct the reader to the information required to make the decision.
Commercial independence
Our current shopping links are direct official links without affiliate tracking. Future affiliate relationships, sponsorships, or other material commercial connections must be disclosed appropriately. A business inquiry does not secure coverage, determine our conclusions, or remove relevant disadvantages from an article. Read our Affiliate Disclosure for the current position.
Corrections and feedback
Send factual correction requests to [email protected]. Include the article address, the claim you believe is inaccurate, and a reliable supporting source. We review the issue in context and aim to correct substantiated errors. A different personal preference may inform future coverage without making the original factual statement incorrect.
When a correction materially changes an article's meaning or recommendation, the change should be made clear to readers. Routine edits for spelling, readability, or working links may be made without a separate correction note.
Our responsibilities as a publisher
Articles are published under Modascale Editorial. That byline identifies the publication's editorial responsibility and does not imply a particular staff size or a fictional individual reviewer. We welcome scrutiny of our work and aim to make the basis for our guidance understandable.
