Our current approach
Our editorial pages do not intentionally set nonessential cookies or use local storage for advertising, behavioral profiling, or audience measurement. We do not currently run advertising pixels, third-party analytics, reader accounts, newsletter subscriptions, or embedded social feeds. Our official store links do not contain affiliate tracking identifiers.
Because the publication does not currently deploy optional tracking technologies that need a reader's choice, we do not present a consent banner asking you to accept them. The absence of a banner does not mean that every technical request made while browsing the internet is anonymous.
Hosting and security
Cloudflare delivers and protects this website. Depending on the services and security measures applied to a request, infrastructure may process technical information or use a security mechanism needed to identify abuse and keep the service available. Such activity is distinct from editorial advertising or audience profiling.
We do not publish a fixed list of security-cookie names or durations because these can depend on the infrastructure's active features and the circumstances of a request.
